All LR's are permanent 4WD bar the new ed4 models.

Yes I should have been more clear about the permanent 4WD. In standard mode with 50:50 at start and then 80:20 (I think) does the TR, split power according to needs or just revert to 50:50 when you come to a rest, implying that the wizardry only takes place during the special modes? Some, possibly all, of the modes change the acceleration response. I left mine on (GGS I think) when pulling onto an Autobahn and there was a very noticeable lack of oomph. |

80/20 is correct for pre 2009MY 2010MY with the new haldex uses 95/5 (I think) for better economy... I use Sand mode if i want to overtake as you get more oomph rather than less with the GGS. |
