Battery light staying on..error code P0045?

Hi,

Couple of weeks ago my battery light came on and stayed on. I took it in to Formula One and had the battery checked, all okay they checked for a fault code which came up as P0045. They said it was the turbo boost control solenoid circuit open. They reset it and suggested that it may have been dirty connections. All was okay until now, the light has come on again!

I don't really want to go back and be charged for it to happen again. So wondered if anyone might know what's causing this to happen.

Thanks..

hi

if all they did was reset the fault then they never fixed the problem only removed the fault code, so i suggest you use someone else this time and get the fault code read (probably will be the same code) and fixed 1995 P38 now dead

Have now looked under the bonnet, and discovered that a blue wire from the alternator was severed.I think that this is just to indicate that the alternator is charging correctly. This problem has been reported in a previous post. I have yet to discover what caused the error code, if this is a separate issue or wether this was an old code that had not been deleted.
